Joseph Bonello has built a reputation as a successful turnkey service provider based in Malta, offering a complete package of building and finishing services to both private customers and businesses.
Joseph wanted to expand his business potential with a new brand image and online presence to take his company to the next level.
Joseph already had an idea for the name of his new company – Porte Clefs – the French word for keyring. He felt that this was an ideal play on words for his turnkey business but needed a domain name to go with it.
Looking at the available options, we settled on the purchase of a domain name – porteclefs.eu – using the short and simple .eu suffix. With the tiny country of Malta being a member of the much larger European Union since 2004, this was an ideal choice to represent his Maltese business online.
Joseph did not have an existing company logo and he wanted something clear and effective to represent his new business venture.
After discussing a selection of ideas we chose this concept, incorporating the shape of a lever lock key with a set of archways forming the bit.
A number of iterations were created, with variations in colour schemes and embellishments, until finally settling on the simple bold red dot to provide a clear identity.
This theme was then further developed, using the circle and dot to provide a complete brand image, with simple variations to provide a selection of emblems representing the range of services on offer.
Working closely with Joseph to find out more about his requirements and the services he would be providing, we developed a simple website with a clean, modern and responsive design which works well on both desktop and mobile devices.
This basic foundation allows clients to quickly gain a clear overview of the company, whilst allowing the ability to build on this with more comprehensive information about each individual service. The website offers clear contact information and a simple contact form is also provided for quick online enquiries.
The website was developed using the popular open-source WordPress CMS, allowing the ability to quickly and easily update any information on the site. Content can be updated as required without the need to rely on third parties, with the inevitable time and cost involved in such processes.
Joseph can easily add and change information about the company’s services, with these items easily added to the range of options in the navigation menu.
Having a presence online is vital in this modern age to allow customers to easily find out more about your company and provide a method of contact. Whilst advertising can help build recognition, many prospective clients will often use popular search engines such as Google and Bing to find the services they require.
Simply having a website is just the first step in this process, providing good quality and accessible content is key to making sure your site is actually visible to customers. Using a variety of tools to optimise the website content helps to ensure that your business can be found.
In addition to the static content provided in the pages of the website, provision was made for the easy publishing of other information. Details of properties for sale or rent, descriptions of previous projects within a portfolio and testimonials from satisfied customers can be added simply and quickly. The use of categories and tags allows this information to be dynamically linked to the appropriate sections and provides additional benefits for search.
In addition to the publishing tools, the Facebook page feed integrated into the website allows dynamic information from the social network to be shown automatically. It also offers a simple way for visitors to Like the page, improving the popularity rating and therefore the visibility of the business.
